Die Repair Technician - Direct Hire Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex mechanical and electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and plant facilities
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and combustion malfunctions
  • Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for troubleshooting
  • Modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots (Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, M6700)
  • Install, move, and align new and existing equipment with precision
  • Operate various machine shop equipment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform gas and electric welding operations
  • Draw, polish, and grind die cavity surfaces using specialized tools
  • Complete maintenance records and maintain organized work areas
  • Execute preventive and proactive maintenance tasks

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in Allen Bradley systems, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding
  • Proficiency troubleshooting die casting machine cells through PLC's and electrical/hydraulic schematics
  • Up to 2 years specialized die repair experience preferred

Education:

  • Associate's Degree, trade/technical school, or journeyman certificate preferred
  • Equivalent experience with up to 2 years on-the-job training considered

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced welding capabilities (MIG, TIG, spot welding)
  • Blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation
  • Precision measurement using micrometers and calipers
  • CAD software proficiency for component analysis
